Grammy Sweeps the World, Even Golden Melody Award!

    NCU, TAIWAN — Winning the music award is no longer just a reward, it can also help the singers to establish their frame and recognition.When it comes to the music ceremony, we cannot neglect that Grammy's influential power to the world, even to us, the university students. 

    

   In the face of the history, Grammy, to some degree, has existed for a long distance of time. So, it isn’t hard to imagine that Grammy has gradually attracts the amount of the audience year by year. 
  
  Then, it is the power of the nation as well as the language, which is known as English that affects the number of the audience.     

   

   In the research by asking students in NCU about their watching habits about Grammy and Taiwan’s Golden Melody Award, we can infer that Grammy indeed attracts more students than Golden Melody Award (25%). 

  However, it is interesting much more people enjoy watching both of them   (40%). 

  Grammy is loved by most students due to the tremendous performance. Some students in the English Department mentioned that Grammy’s performing part is more than the prize-giving part. That is to say, it increase the texture of the ceremony, which make them eager to watch. Some mentioned that the stars are much more well-known than the stars in the Golden Melody Award. Last but not the least, some point out that some good music in Taiwan are less known due to the mixture of the music from other countries.

   

  ''The hardware system should be improved so that it can catch up the West.''  Johnny (18 years old) a freshmen student in English Department,who is one of the students that watch the Golden Melody Award (55%) mentioned.

  What’s more interesting is that when asking the people who don’t watch both of them to choose one to watch, most of them choose to watch Grammy instead of Golden Melody Award. 

  '' I don't watch both. But I will choose to watch Grammy, because most my friends watch it.'' Mandy, a student in the Business Manage Department said.
