Watching Habits Reports and Conclusion

   Nowadays, due to the decline of the economy as well as the development of the Internet, the market of the records has gradually become smaller. Many singers and producers tend to produce good music in order to get the ticket to win the music award no matter it is in the East or the West. Winning the music award is no longer just a reward, it can also help the singers to establish their frame and recognition.

    

    First, let’s talk about the basic facts. In the face of the history, Grammy, to some degree, has existed for a long distance of time. So, it isn’t hard to imagine that Grammy has gradually attracts the amount of the audience year by year. Then, it is the power of the nation as well as the language, which is known as English that affects the number of the audience.     Therefore these are the basic facts that affect the watching tendency.

   

   In my research by asking students in NCU about their watching habits about Grammy and Taiwan’s Golden Melody Award, we can infer that Grammy indeed attracts more students than Golden Melody Award (25%). But it is interesting much more people enjoy watching both of them (40%). Grammy is loved by most people due to the tremendous performance. Some people mentioned that Grammy’s performing part is more than the prize-giving part. That is to say, it increase the texture of the ceremony, which make them eager to watch. Some mentioned that the stars are much more well-known than the stars in the Golden Melody Award. Last but not the least, some point out that some good music in Taiwan are less known due to the mixture of the music from other countries.

   

  In the group of people that watch the Golden Melody Award (55%), they consider that it is the fact that the hardware system should be improved in order to catch up the West.

  What’s more interesting is that when asking the people who don’t watch both of them to choose one to watch, most of them choose to watch Grammy than Golden Melody Award because they think that most of their classmates watch it.
